  Who is eligible?

[All students living in the community are eligible to apply for scholarship awards. Applicants must be residents of our community and enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited post-secondary education program.]

How can I help ?

[ Any size of donation is appreciated and beneficial. We encourage you to give as generously as you can, but be assured that any and all gifts are appreciated.

• Invite our president, Linda Evanson to come and talk to your organization
• Sponsor a scholarship, grant, or leave a legacy (see scholarships)
• Tell your friends and co-workers about SHEF
• When people retire start a scholarship in their name
• Establish a memorial
• Make a donation
• Volunteer to join the board or help when you can
• Donate stock,  property, or estates
• Provide a Life Income Vehicle: Pooled income funds; charitable trusts; charitable gift annuities.

Is this a reputable charity?

[YES,  Dollars for Scholars, the parent organization for SHEF, have been ranked as one of the top education charities in the US for the fifth year in a row by "Smart Money" magazine.  This means the money goes where it belongs - to the students. Funds can come from the generous support of local businesses, service organizations, and individuals who desire to sponsor scholarships in their name. Local dollars support local students- local philanthropy at its best!]
